NRA Basic Pistol Shooting
$120
This entry-level course combines classroom and range time to teach safe handgun handling, pistol parts and operation, ammunition basics, and fundamental marksmanship skills with both revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students learn NRA range safety rules, basic shooting positions, and how to clean and maintain their handgun.
The course is typically a full 8-hour day, and successful participants receive the official NRA student materials and a course completion certificate.
NRA Range Safety Officer
$120
This non-shooting, 9-hour course prepares you to safely supervise shooting activities on the range. Candidates learn the roles and responsibilities of an RSO, range standard operating procedures (SOPs), range inspection and rules, conducting safety briefings, handling stoppages and malfunctions, and responding to emergencies.
Successful students receive the official NRA RSO training materials and are eligible to complete NRA certification as a Range Safety Officer.
NRA Basic Personal Protection In The Home
$120
NRA Basic Personal Protection In The Home (PPITH) is an 8-hour defensive pistol course for law-abiding, experienced adult shooters who want to protect themselves and their families at home. It teaches the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to the safe and efficient use of a handgun for home defense, including basic defensive shooting skills, strategies for home safety and responding to a violent confrontation, an overview of firearms and the law, and how to choose a handgun for self-defense. Students typically fire around 100 rounds and receive the official NRA Guide to the Basics of Personal Protection In The Home and an NRA course completion certificate.
Ghost Tactics: Hijack, Extract, Communicate, Vanish

A one-day, intensive lab on recovering data, moving information, and staying connected in non-permissive environments—legally and ethically. You’ll learn how to safely “hijack” available hardware and networks, extract and safeguard critical data, establish resilient, low-profile communications, and then vanish from the attack surface with smart digital hygiene and compartmentation.
Built for protectors, investigators, and security-minded professionals, this course focuses on practical, repeatable workflows you can use during travel, emergencies, corporate incidents, or hostile conditions, without needing to be a programmer or hacker.
NC Concealed Carry Handgun$75
This course meets North Carolina’s training requirement to apply for a Concealed Carry Handgun Permit. Students complete at least 8 hours of classroom instruction plus a live-fire qualification on the range.
Classroom topics include NC laws on the use of deadly force and where concealed handguns are prohibited, along with firearm safety, handgun types, and marksmanship fundamentals.
NRA Basic Shotgun Shooting

This introductory course combines classroom and range time to teach safe shotgun handling, parts and operation, ammunition basics, and fundamental skills for shooting moving targets. Students learn NRA range safety rules, how to engage straightaway and angled targets, and basic cleaning and maintenance. The course is typically a full-day (or longer) program, and successful participants receive the official NRA student materials and a course completion certificate.
NRA FIRST Steps
Pistol, Rifle, or Shotgun

NRA FIRST Steps courses are short, small-group introductions to one specific pistol, rifle, or shotgun model/action type. Each class runs about 3 hours and combines classroom and range time to cover:

NRA Basic Personal Protection Outside The Home

This intermediate defensive pistol course teaches the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential for avoiding dangerous confrontations and for the safe, effective, and responsible use of a concealed pistol for self-defense in public.
PPOTH builds on NRA Basic Personal Protection In The Home and includes significant live-fire work from concealment, use of cover, movement, multiple threats, and varied-light conditions. The curriculum is delivered in basic and advanced levels over 2 days, with successful students earning the appropriate NRA course certificates.

Ghost Tactics: Situational Awareness gives you a scientifically informed, data-driven framework for recognizing pre-event indicators before a situation turns critical. You’ll learn how to spot anomalies, assess intent, and make better decisions under stress, whether you’re protecting your family, your team, your workplace, or yourself.
This course is designed to build practical skills and quiet confidence, so you can identify potential threats early, avoid or de-escalate when possible, and respond appropriately when action is required.
Protector Series I, II, III
Pistol, Shotgun, PCC, Rifle

The Protector series from Mining Ridge Armory is a progressive training program for responsible citizens, first responders, and security professionals. Across pistol, rifle, shotgun, and PCC, each level builds on the last to develop safe, confident, and capable protectors.
Level I builds core combat fundamentals. Level II applies those skills with movement, cover, communication, and multiple threats. Level III focuses on advanced engagement and problem-solving in more realistic, high-demand scenarios, always grounded in lawful, ethical use of force so you can Train Real. Live Ready.
NRA Basic Rifle Shooting

This introductory rifle course combines classroom and range time to teach safe gun handling, rifle parts and operation, ammunition basics, and fundamental marksmanship skills. Students learn NRA shooting positions (bench rest, prone, sitting, standing, and kneeling), range safety, and basic cleaning and maintenance. The course is typically delivered over two days due to the amount of material and live-fire time, and successful participants receive the official NRA student materials and course completion certificate.
NRA Refuse To Be A Victim Seminar

Refuse To Be A Victim® is the NRA’s award-winning personal safety and crime-prevention seminar. In this non-shooting, classroom-only program, you’ll learn practical strategies you can use every day to reduce your chances of becoming a victim at home, in your vehicle, online, at work, and in public places.
Topics include how criminals select victims, strengthening home and automobile security, travel and parking-lot safety, workplace and personal safety planning, and using technology and basic personal safety devices wisely. The focus is on awareness, avoidance, and building layered security—not on fighting skills. This is not a firearms or hand-to-hand self-defense course.
Seminars typically run 3–4 hours and can be tailored from a focused 90-minute session to a full-day program for churches, businesses, and community groups. Each participant receives the official Refuse To Be A Victim® student materials packet and a course completion certificate.
