Rampart is defined as, “a protective barrier”. A rampart can be the bulwark between good and evil, life and death, freedom or tyranny. Rampart Pistol is a broad-topic pistol course that touches on every defensive pistol technique that you would likely employ in a real-world situation. Topics covered include the full range of combative pistol craft and are a curriculum based on countless hours and years of training under some of the world’s leading instructors.

We will cover and practice everything from safe pistol presentation, malfunction remediation, and superior pistol manipulation to advanced shooting techniques and real-world tactics. This is singularly the most comprehensive pistol course Mining Ridge Armory offers and gives you all the basics you need to be the rampart between the innocent and those intent on doing harm.

This course is 2-days, with the first day being all indoor classroom participatory learning. The second day will be 100% range exercises.

Equipment List:

• Open Mind
• Notepad and pen
• Masking tape or target pasties
• Quality carry pistol
• Minimum of 3 quality magazines
• 500 rounds of ammunition
• Kydex holster from your usual carry position (service or duty belt counts if you are Law Enforcement, military, or Overt Security)
• Method of carrying and employing at least one extra magazine
• Small cleaning kit
• Eye protection
• Ear protection
• Functional, appropriate, and comfortable clothing that you don't care if you ruin since there WILL be groundwork in any kind of weather (you may consider purchasing "burner clothing" from Goodwill prior to class)
• Rain gear and weather-appropriate attire
• Hat
• Sunblock
• Bug repellent
• Cover garment (and a light coat both please)
• Knee pads (optional)
• Food and snacks
• Water and sports drinks
