When it comes to protecting your family, “good enough” isn’t good enough. The North Carolina (NC) Concealed Carry Handgun (CCH) Course – Elk Outdoors Evening Class is a two-night training experience that blends the official NCDOJ curriculum with practical pistol instruction in a modern retail and indoor range environment.
Hosted by Mining Ridge Armory and conducted at Elk Outdoors Sporting Goods LLC in Elkin, NC, this course uses the North Carolina Department of Justice Concealed Carry Handgun Training materials (the “red book”) plus additional real-world perspective. You’ll cover safety, fundamentals, cleaning and maintenance, North Carolina use-of-force law, where you can and cannot carry, and what actually happens before, during, and after a defensive encounter.
At the end of the course, qualified students will receive a certificate of completion that satisfies the state training requirement to apply for an NC Concealed Handgun Permit. Issuance of the permit is handled by your county sheriff’s office…
